SIHA Membership Fees

Scottish Independent Hospitals Association (SIHA) is supported by its Members by annual subscriptions to the Independent Healthcare Advisory Services (IHAS) charged at the rates set out below.

Invitations to renew membership of IHAS are despatched in April each year ready for the start of the subscription year on 1 May. Companies joining during the year are charged pro rata.

In 2011, for the first time, we have made explicit that SIHA members enjoy the benefits of membership of the Independent Sector Complaints Adjudication Service. You may do so indirectly through your parent UK Company already, so we do not ask for a separate subscription.

ISCAS of course has as yet no status with the Scottish Regulatory authorities, but ISCAS offers your company, particularly in a time of limited resources, a number of benefits. These include a cost effective solution to complaints management, demonstration of ‘best practice' in patient care, marketing benefits and an alternative to costly legal proceedings.

Membership of ISCAS brings with it the responsibility to comply both with the Code of Practice for Managing Patient Complaints and the Independent External Adjudication Scheme should it be invoked; and to commit to this publicly to your customers.
