The Independent Healthcare Advisory Services bring together members and specialists across the health care industry, to share a unique level of knowledge, experience and understanding.

 

The Advisory Services:

  • facilitate effective communication between all its members, the government and external organisations
  • strive to develop and drive policy advancement through shared member input and consultation 
  • deliver focused, practical information and guidance in all areas of regulation and policy, sharing and distributing knowledge.

IHAS provides the secretariat for the Scottish Independent Hospitals Association (SIHA), the Welsh Independent Healthcare Association (WIHA), and the Independent Sector Complaints Adjudication Service (ISCAS).

 


 
Contribute to defining professional standards for the self-regulation of cosmetic treatments

 

The IHAS has been asked by the Government to come up with a self-regulation model for cosmetic treatments.  The first stage in this process is the creation of a set of professional standards for the use of cosmetic treatments and for organisations wishing to register with the scheme.  The Standards document is now out for consultation and available here.

National Clinical Assessment Service strengthens link with Independent Healthcare Advisory Services

 

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the National Clinical Assessment Service (NCAS) and the Independent Healthcare Advisory Services (IHAS) was launched today at the joint IHAS British Medical Association (BMA) conference.
